Hello,
yes I’m aware that this has all led to some confusion. But I have decided to make a real effort to clear some of this nonsense up. I am very grateful for the work Mr. Dawkins is doing, he has brought a great deal of mis-management to my attention.
Best regards.

I have written a detailed reply to Dawkins’ discussion of homeopathy in this episode over at my homeopathy blog, detailing the many weaknesses in his argument:
Is Homeopathic Medicine the “Enemy of Reason”?.

“Enemies of reason?” Those may be loonyligionists. I wrote about it here:
“What is loonyligion?”

I think its awesome that you are promoting Dawkins’s skeptic documentary.
Skepticism is high virtue in my book.
The commenter who thinks s/he’s got good arguments for homeopathy should be advised that if they can determine the difference between a homeopathic solution and ordinary water under controlled conditions the James Randi Educational Foundation (JREF)will award him/her one million dollars.
I think the JREF will allow you to use any technology you need.
So go ahead and get your million bucks if you’ve got proof.

People are so gullible buying into all this modern day snake oil, although I don’t know why it comes as such a shock to me, after all look at all the religious folks walking around.

It’s good that videos like this are accessible for everyone!
But it’s astonishing and sad as to how gullible some (lots of?) people are!?

I loved this movie. I also think that it shows Dawkins’ personal commitment to a kind of positive atheism in which to be an atheist is to engage in consumer protectionism.
And before any of my fellow atheists get pissed at me, let me say that if you don’t like the term positive atheism– just replace it with freethinking, brighthood, humanism, or whatever else is in fashion right now.
And to Daldanius,
I was as gullible as anyone, and these kind of videos do help.
Its helpful to think of gullibility as a kind of trustfulness, that people who are gullible tend to be too trusting.
Thinking this way lends some perspective.

It’s a free world and life is too short. If people find happiness and peace with their worry beads, incense, and crystals then let them.
Now if they want an after-life, then that’s a different matter…Dawkins is content with his one life, but why become a crusader against those who believe in angels and heaven? That’s their free choice, not Dawkins.

Agreed, totally. Not every atheist or skeptic is combative.
“Now if they want an after-life, then that’s a different matter…Dawkins is content with his one life, but why become a crusader against those who believe in angels and heaven? That’s their free choice, not Dawkins.”
You crusade, we counter-crusade. Don’t be hypocritical.
