Can atheists be too friendly? Yes, example inside!

I sometimes get asked whether atheists should be more friendly to those with religious beliefs. I normally provide Hemant from Friendly Atheist as a shining example of a nice atheist.

He recently discussed Michael Shermer’s belief that atheists should be positive. Well I think atheists can be too friendly and I believe that the example below shows the dangers of ‘friendly atheism’.

I have to say Hemant, I think you’re taking this positive atheism lark too far!

Of course atheists can be friendly!!! All that an atheist is, is just like any normal person with their own views and free-will like God created them.

I think all people should respect each-other. I personally feel that I should share the Biblical hope that I have of the Gospel because I beleive sincerley what the Bible says, and I don’t want others to have a horrible fate.

I do prey for atheists, but in the end, it is their own choice. Anyway, atheists can be friendly, who said they can’t be!
