I think that seeing Jesus with an erection is decidedly more tasteful than seeing him hanging, bleeding from an archaic torture device. I should be suing the church for public decency disorders. Numpties.

Gospel Contradictions:

1) How many generations were there between Abraham to David? Matthew 1:17 lists fourteen generations. Matthew 1:2 lists thirteen generations.

2) Is Paul lying? In Acts 20:35 Paul told people “to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Since Jesus never made such a biblical statement, isn’t Paul guilty of deception?

3) When did the leper become not a leper? (Matthew 8:13 & 8:14) Jesus healed the leper before visiting the house. (Mark 1:29-30 & 1:40-42) Jesus healed the leper after visiting Simon Peter’s house. Read more…

A well functioning society produces enormous benefits for its members. They can establish complex systems to provide food and shelter, more children survive to reproduce, and individuals are subject to less direct and dangerous competition for the resources they need to live. A well functioning society will expand and push aside less organised groups. The extraordinary success of humanity in spreading across the earth is evidence of the power of social organisation. If we look for the tools that allow social organisation to happen, we can see that humans are born with characteristics that produce and indeed mandate social involvement. Read more…

MASTURBATION EQUALS VIOLENCE! How can any honest person believe otherwise in the face of the overwhelming evidence presented here? The one thing that the authors of these messages have in common, other than the fact that they are all seething powderkegs of homicidal fury, is that they all MASTURBATE!

Masturbation is more dangerous than smoking. Doctors of a generation ago knew this, but since the Sexual Revolution of the 1960’s, this fact has been lost in the “if it feels good, do it” mentality.

CBS Sunday Morning with Julia Sweeney and Christopher Hitchens

I think Julia Sweeney is terrific. Her ‘Letting Go of God’ monologue was one of the most amusing de-conversion stories I’ve ever heard and I’m delighted that it’s due out as a film. It’s definitely one to look out for but in the meantime the monologue is available on Audible, from her website directly or there’s a small preview in an older post from earlier this year.

This CBS special has a few teasers and also interviews both Julia and Christopher Hitchens about Atheism in America today.

unicornm

Hot on the heels of the Creation Museum, The Unicorn Museum presents a walk through history. Designed by a noted fantasy author, this state-of-the-art 60,000 square foot museum brings the fantastical and highly implausible to life.

A fully engaging, sensory experience for intellectually undiscerning guests. Murals and realistic scenery, computer-generated visual effects, over fifty exotic animal-like replicas, life-sized giant and hill troll animatronics, and a special-effects theater complete with elven air conditioning and dwarven hand-crafted drink holders. These are just some of the impressive exhibits that everyone in your family will enjoy.
